Aerospace Actuators

 Aerospace Actuators High-Temperature EM Rotary Actuator

This actuator was designed to replace pneumatic actuators found on gas turbine auxiliary power units (APUs) to operate load and surge valves handling air at temperatures in excess of 600°F. It is designed for robust, reliable, long-life service under severe operating conditions (temperature, vibration), and is available with an optional electronic control unit (ECU).

Inlet Guide Vane Actuator (IGVA) Part Number 101379-4Inlet Guide Vane Actuator (IGVA)

The Inlet Guide Vane Actuator (IGVA) has direct acting, 3-way clevis-type, servo valve used for actuation with an LVDT to provide position feedback. The actuator is mounted on an aircraft Auxillary Power Unit (APU) and used to control the position of a load compressor’s inlet guide vanes.

Hydraulic Linear Actuator Hydraulic Linear Actuator

This compact actuator uses JASC’s patented FlexJet® Servovalve technology. The FlexJet® Servo provides excellent response and contamination tolerance in a small package, resulting in a compact, high-performing linear actuator. Originally designed to position a pintle in a throttable rocket engine, it comes with a flight-grade electronic control unit.

Active Combustion Control ValvesActive Combustion Control Valves

The Active Combustion Control Valve was developed to attenuate undesirable pressure pulses within the combustion chamber of a turbine engine. Active Combustion Controls Valves are derived from patented JASC Servo Valve Technology that employs a robust and extremely reliable means for metering and modulating fuel flow over a broad range of conditions.

Space Actuators

Thrust Vector Control Actuator

This actuator was designed to control the thrust vector angle on rocket engines. It is designed for high vibration and shock loads and has excellent frequency response characteristics. It also was designed for short-term immersion in salt water, as evidenced by the protective cover on the electro-fueldraulic servo-valve (EFSV) and hard anodic coatings. Redundancy is accomplished via dual-coils in the EFSV first-stage torque motor.
