Space

JASC actuators and fluid management devices are used in the most advanced commercial spaceflight and space tourism programs. Whether controlling the flow of bi-propellant or the thrust vector of rocket engines, JASC man-rated flight hardware is headed boldly into space with a new generation of pioneers.
JASC Produces Actuators and Fluid Management solutions for the space sector.

ACTUATORS

This actuator was designed to control the thrust vector angle on rocket engines. It is designed for high vibration and shock loads and has excellent frequency response characteristics. Redundancy is accomplished via dual-coils in the EFSV first-stage torque motor.

The JASC 101413 Hydraulic Servo-Actuator is currently the largest actuator in the JASC line.  It was designed for flight surface control for a manned spacecraft launch vehicle and puts out 32,000 lbs of static force at 3000 psi supply pressure.

This compact actuator uses JASC’s patented FlexJet® Servovalve technology. The FlexJet® Servo provides excellent response and contamination tolerance in a small package, resulting in a compact, high-performing linear actuator. It was originally designed to position a pintle in throttable rocket engine, and comes with a flight-grade electronic control unit.

A high-accuracy linear potentiometer provides position feedback to the external controller. A single D38999 electrical connector communicates all signals to and from the controller.

This unit features JASC’s patented FlexJet® Electro-Hydraulic Servo Valve, which provides a more robust alternative to more traditional jetpipe designs. This servo is designed for high contamination tolerance and long life—even in the most severe shock and vibration environments generated by these engines.

This actuator was designed to control both thrust vector control and aerodynamic control surfaces on rocket platforms. It is designed for high vibration and shock loads and has excellent frequency response characteristics.

FLUID MANAGEMENT

Cavitating Thrust Control Valve is a high-speed motor driven pintle valve with electronic control for metering of high-pressure hydrogen. Fuel System Uses JASC Pintle Valve Technology for Fuel and Ignitor Flow Control and precisely modulates fuel flow to the engine to maintain desired F/A ratio. Can be sold with JASC’s controller/driver.
